While Repsol Honda team-mate Nicky Hayden rocketed to the fastest lap time of the Jerez test, the dry Monday weather also prompted Dani Pedrosa to return to action - although there was no sign of improvement from the Spaniard's injured hand.
Nevertheless, the 2007 MotoGP World Championship runner-up, was at least able to compete 35 more laps as he and his technicians attempted to find a set up that would ease the stress on his hand, fractured during the very first day of 2008 testing at Sepang in late January.
